 Night 1: Hanoi to Lao Cai by the night train 4 berth soft sleeper cabin with AC

 Day 1: Sapa - Cat Cat - Y Linh Ho - Lao Chai - Ta Van

 Day 2: Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai – SuPan – Ban Ho

 Day 3: Ban Ho - Nam Toong - Sapa

 Night 4: Lao Cai to Hanoi by 4 berth soft sleeper tourist sharing cabin

Night 1: Hanoi to Lao Cai by the night train 4 berth soft sleeper cabin with AC

At  7:30 pm transfer from your hotel to the Hanoi train station for boarding at 9:15 pm. You will be in shared AC soft sleeper cabins of 4 to travel North to Lao Cai town. The next morning: The train arrives in Lao Cai at about 5:00 am where your Sapa Pathfinder Travel guide will welcome you. Look for the "Sapa Pathfinder Travel" sign when you exit the train station. Then take a morning drive through the clouds by car / van to Sapa (about 1.5 hours). When you arrive in Sapa you will be taken to Fansipan View Hotel for a morning shower & breakfast, then prepare for the trek as detailed below:

Day 1: Sapa - Cat Cat - Y Linh Ho - Lao Chai - Ta Van

After freshen up and Breakfast in a local restaurant you will enjoy a free walk around this charming town, paying visit to Sapa market and the old cathedral where you can meet a lot of local ethnic minority peoples such as Black H’mong and Red Zao wearing their traditional colorful dresses selling their farming and gathering products and handicrafts for souvenir. Back to our Sapa Pathfinder office at by 9:30 and begin your exploration trip to Muong Hoa valley.

We start to make our special and different trip by driving 3 Km by Jeep to Cat Cat village, We start our trek from this cultural village, here is the home of Hmong, enjoy a water Fall, an old hydro power station built by Friend.

12 km of trekking, visit Y Linh Ho and Lao Chai villages of the H’mong minority. after lunch at a local family in Lao Chai or in a drinking shop nearby the river bank, we keep on hiking to Ta Van village of the Dzay where we stay overnight in a local family. Here you have opportunity to experience their daily life, work and original custom.

With your tour guide and the house owners, we will set up a temporary cooking class to learn how to cook Vietnamese food for dinner.

Day 2: Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai – SuPan – Ban Ho

Leaving Ta Van village after Breakfast, you will take the trail uphill, passing fascinating terraced rice field and some small hamlets of the H’mong before getting through a bamboo forest to a waterfall, enjoy a break for magnificent scenery and then continue walking for half an hour to Giang Ta Chai village of the Red Zao peoples which sits on the top of a hill and looks down Muong Hoa river. After spending time visiting the village, making friend with the Zao and experiencing the hospitality you will cross the river by another suspension bridge and then uphill again to Su Pan village where you will pay visiting to a local handicraft center where H’mong and Zao women gather for exchanging experience and skill of making handicrafts.

A late Lunch will be prepare here nearby this center and then you have time relaxing as well as getting acquaintance with local school boys, girls and their teachers as well.

Keep walking a little along the main road, get through the rice terraced paddies to the second homestay in Ban Ho village of the Tay minority peoples where you will spend the night on a wooden-stilt house. Sharing dinner with the family prepared by the host and your tour guide with the local Speciality and wine would be the best time for relaxing and cultural exchange.

You will trek about 16Km during this day.

 Accommodation: Home stay in Ban Ho

Day 3: Ban Ho - Nam Toong - Sapa

You will be waken up by the by the village animals or farming activity. After the breakfast is a trek of 4 Km to Nam Toong remoted village of the Red Dao peoples, learning their specific customs, enjoying the lanscape before getting back to Lavie water for refreshing swimming, Then back to the homestay for lunch.

You will trek about 11Km during this day.

Later a short drive will take you back to Sapa, take a shower and enjoy about two hours free time in Sapa before transfer down hill to Lao Cai station.

 Overnight on the train

Night 4: Lao Cai to Hanoi by 4 berth soft sleeper tourist sharing cabin

At 6:00 pm, you will be transfered by a tourist shared bus to Laocai train station, then take the night train back to Hanoi. End of the trip.

Note: This trip can be optional for 1 more night in Fansipan View Hotel ( At $20 for double or twin share) or at the hotel of your choise to take part in BacHa Sunday market group tour at $15, or to have 1 free day in Sapa romantic town.
