Livitrans Express Train

Livitrains Express Train Hanoi to Hue, Danang, Sapa,Livitrans Train is a newly built train. The train is a joint venture between Vietnam National Coal and Mineral IndustryCorporation and Vietnam Railway Corporation which officially starts itsoperation on 1st September 2007.

Livitrans Express Train, which comprises of 9 woodencarriages and one electricity generation compartment, is expected to expand to15 carriages to be able to accommodate 420 passengers in the near future. Thetrain will feature sleeping carriage with Deluxe 2 berths and 4 berths with abar, toilets, etc... of aviation standards.

Description

Livitrans is a newly built train connecting Hanoi and Sapa. It is considered one of the most luxurious trains in Vietnam with its equipment equivalent to a high-class hotel.

The train is a joint venture between Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industry Corporation and Vietnam Railway Corporation which officially starts its operation on 1st September 2007.

Livitrans Express Train, which comprises of 9 wooden carriages and one electricity generation compartment, is expected to expand to 15 carriages to be able to accommodate 420 passengers in the near future. The train will feature sleeping carriage with 2 berths, 4 berths and 6 berths, a bar, toilets, LCD television sets on board, etc... of aviation standards. Passengers will be also offered drinks, confectionery and newspapers for free.

Note on the tickets

- Passengers are recommended to travel in first class (deluxe) cabin, 4 soft berths.

- Child fare: under 5 years: free of charge if sharing bed with parent; 5 years up: adult rate.

- One way transfer from hotel to Hanoi Train Station included

- All cabins are air-conditioned, WC not in cabin.

Lao Cai – Sapa Transfer

The Hanoi - Lao Cai train stops at Lao Cai Railway Station, just 40 km from Sapa; in order to reach Sapa, you will need to travel an hour and a half more through a connecting bus or private car. The bus stops at Sapa's main Post Office, leaving you with some minutes walk into town. It can also stop at your hotel, depending upon the location of the hotel. Ticket prices for connecting buses Lao Cai - Sapa are 30000VND or US$2/way.

The tourist bus back to Lao Cai leaves from outside Sapa's church, but usually it can pick you up at your hotel. You can inquire with the staff at your hotels for getting a bus ticket back to Lao Cai Railway Station.

 After Our confirmation and purchased tickets: 20% charge

 15-30 days before departure: 25% charge

 7-14 days before departure: 35% charge

 2-6 days before departure: 50% charge

 Within 24 hours before departure: 100% charge
